He’s in the day

4 01 2008

today it was waiting-to-be-marked books that glared reproachfully at me, students to love and berate who loved and berated, paper to be pushed and so little else. but in the midst of the minutes and hours, it was easy to see the presence of God just under the surface of everything: in the laughing, the breathing, speaking, listening… listening. because He’s just here. all the time. and He puts things in perspective. and the thing is that that’s glorious. God’s in the minutes, the hours, the day. glorious.
