Erwin Raphael McManus’ Soul Cravings talks about metamorphosis at one point, in an entry called ‘A Place Of Hope’ and I like how he writes, “you can spend your whole life trying to become what your soul longs for without God.” Because the metamorphosis is the cocoon becoming a caterpillar, the caterpillar becoming a butterfly… and you know that if you’re made to do something, nothing comes close to it. McManus says, “if you’re meant to fly, not even running very fast is that impressive.”
